YIN & TONIC YOGA WORKSHOP

This workshop is a great introduction to the beautiful practice of yin yoga, whether this is your very first yoga class or you’ve been practicing for years.
Deeply relaxing 2 hour extended Yin Yoga Class, come along and explore how the poses work for you and your body. In Yin Yoga we focus on the connective tissues, improving energy flow, encouraging healing and increasing joint mobility. Posses are held for 3-5 mins long in a form of meditative passive stretching.
A Yin Yoga practice can help us stay balanced in the Yang world we live in, especially during the holiday season. This workshop will introduce the basic principals of a Yin Yoga practice, which is focused on long holds of passive yoga postures that aim to release tension in deep connective tissue, stimulate the organs, and strengthen our ligaments and joints.
Almu will share with you specific poses which will help open up and unblock the energy meridians than run throughout the body. Rather than seeking the “perfect version” of each pose, Almu will assist you in tailoring each pose to suit your own body which will ensure that you are open to receiving the greatest benefit from each of the poses.
The session will end with a long relaxation to fully release the body and mind.
Bolsters, blankets and blocks will be provided.
Must bring your own yoga mat.
